Stylized sexy minotaurs calendar 2025 (720p)
A downloadable project
I decided to give a try and see how I could include generative tools in my set of artist toolbox. I don't really has a wonderful idea for trying out, I eventually just came up wih this virtual calendar idea.
The images are PNG files, 1280x720 pixels for the resolution. I decided to go small first, all this is just a test anyway.
If anyone wonder what's the process of creation, here we go:
- I decided to sketch few poses and throw large patches of colors on it, like... REALLY rough coloring.
(Imagine one of those color books for kids, but the colors goes over lines and all, no details, no respect for most of the container to fill?) - Then I use a generative tool that take the sketch I did to refine the lines to make everything looks less messy.
(At this point, imagine just a very pixelated photo in one of those fiction show, someone press a button and POOF, unepixelated. But it doesn't give a well defined picture, just something blurry and ugly.)
- I get the result back in my drawing software to adjust the patches of colors that goes a bit too wonky.
(It's generative tool anyway, it can't understand what I'm drawing.)
- Once the small fixes are done, I use few filters to turn the image into a "paint strokes" style to make the everything looks a bit more organic. I do use then another filter to turn everything into "blocks" that are randomly rotated. And a very last filter that blur/merge/oil everything to give that final appearance of the picture.
- I finish by creating piece by piece all the overlay, the calendar in this cases.
The goal here is not to debate about generative tools and how bad they are, since that we want it or not, the tools are out there... The question now would be, what do we do with this?
For my concern, since everything is based on the sketch I create at first, and that the generative tool at this point is just an advanced filter like the one you can find on any pricey photo editing and art software, I don't see why I should hold myself to try to add this tool in my toolbox.
Knowing all that, would it really change your opinion on the output? Maybe, maybe not... Very much like probably not. But I wanted to show out what I could do to turn a sketch with quick colors into a stylized render that can have it's charm.
Anyway... Enjoy or not, drop a little donation or not, the goal of all this for me was to give a try on generative tools to really see and understand what it feels, how it goes, instead of just rejecting without knowing more of how it works.
Twelves Minotaurs joined the photo shooting session to pose on a bed for the beauty of their bodies.
The pack contain 24 pictures:
- 12 with the 2025 calendar grid.
- 12 without anything.
As for licensing this... Hard to say, I guess for now all rights will stay reserved to me? Though, if you want to share, it would be nice to include the link of this pack in the process, thank you.
Let me know in the comments what's your feedback on all this, I'm curious. (Angry comments and trolls will be moderated.)
